A Step Toward Collaboration Between YT脺 and Sultan Qaboos University
A delegation from Sultan Qaboos University in Oman, ranked 306th in the world, visited our university. During the meetings, opportunities for collaboration in graduate education, joint research projects, technology transfer, and the development of joint graduate programs were discussed.
Prof. Dr. Amer Al-Hinai, Vice Rector for Graduate Education and Research at Sultan Qaboos University in Oman鈥攚hich is ranked 306th in the QS World University Rankings鈥攁nd Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adil S. Al-Busaidi, Director of the Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer, visited our university. This visit, which took place as part of the relations established following YT脺鈥檚 delegation鈥檚 visit to that country, focused on exploring opportunities for collaboration in graduate education, joint research projects, technology transfer, and the development of joint graduate programs.

Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ey眉p Debik, hosted Prof. Dr. Amer Al-Hinai and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adil S. Al-Busaidi in his office. Also participating in the meeting were YT脺 Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, Chief Advisor to the Rector Prof. Dr. 脰zer 脟谋nar, Deputy General Manager of YT脺 Y谋ld谋z Technopark Prof. Dr. Cengiz Kaya, and International Relations Coordinator Dr. Murat Turhan.
Joint graduate programs and research collaborations were discussed
During the meeting, opportunities for postgraduate education, research projects, the development of graduate programs, technology transfer, and expanding academic collaborations into new areas between the two universities were discussed. In line with the research-oriented university model, the parties discussed initiatives to increase the exchange of knowledge and experience, as well as ways to enhance collaboration on international projects.

YT脺鈥檚 research and innovation ecosystem was introduced
As part of the visit program, a presentation on the Research Universities Support Program (ADEP) was given to the Sultan Qaboos University delegation. The delegation then visited YT脺鈥檚 Central Laboratory, YT脺 Y谋ld谋z Technopark, the Industrial Design and Prototyping Center (ETP), as well as the Ota臒-谋 H眉mayun and Sancak Pavilion, gaining insight into the university鈥檚 research infrastructure, technology development ecosystem, and cultural heritage.
International Collaborations Are Strengthening
As part of its internationalization strategy, YT脺 continues to strengthen the academic partnerships it has established with the world鈥檚 leading universities; it aims to increase its scientific interaction on a global scale by developing new collaborations in the fields of education, research, innovation, and technology transfer. In this context, the discussions held with Sultan Qaboos University are expected to make significant contributions to new collaborations in joint research activities and graduate education.
