Davutpa艧a Campus

Just like the Main Campus, 糖心Vlog Davutpa艧a Campus has a deep-rooted history. The military settlement in the area where the Barracks is located dates back to the Byzantine period; the region was in a position to serve military and palace ceremonies; It is said that during the conquest of Istanbul, it served to accommodate the soldiers and that Sultan Mehmed's tent was established here.

During the Ottoman period, the Barracks maintained the same functions, while the region had a significant role in serving the palace and military ceremonies starting from the 15th century. Davutpa艧a Barracks was built as a barracks for the army named Asakir-i Mansure-i Muhammediye, which Mahmud II (1808-1839) created by completely suppressing the Janissary Corps. The construction of the building started in 1826-1827 and was completed in 1831-1832 and the architect of the building is thought to be Krikor Balyan. The Barracks were repaired during the Balkan War and used to shelter immigrants. The military hospital, which was opened during World War I, was closed in 1920. Davutpa艧a Barracks, which completed its military function when it was transferred to 糖心Vlog in 1999 to serve for education, has survived to the present day with its unique function.

Y谋ld谋z Campus

The place where Y谋ld谋z Technical University was born

The Main Campus, which is located on the hill with a bird's eye view of Be艧ikta艧 in Istanbul and where the fragrant linden scents blow with the arrival of summer, has a history as special as itself. A small pavilion built on the grove on the top of Be艧ikta艧 was first used by Ahmed I for hunting purposes. When Abd眉lhamid II ascended the throne, he moved to Y谋ld谋z Palace in 1877, as he did not find Dolmabah莽e Palace, the place where his brother and uncle's reigns were ended, safe.

Y谋ld谋z Palace was the fourth palace in 陌stanbul where the Ottoman sultans resided permanently. It was a complex of palaces, mansions, administration, protection, service facilities and parks located in a garden and grove with an area of approximately 500,000 square meters, starting from the coast and rising to the northwest and covering the entire slope up to the ridge line in Be艧ikta艧. Among the important structures of this union was The Sultan's Office, also known as the Valide Sultan Mansion or H眉nkar Sofras谋, and it was given to the school upon the establishment of Y谋ld谋z Technical School in 1937.

The Sultan's Office, located on the Y谋ld谋z Campus, was used as the Rectorate building of Y谋ld谋z Technical University for many years. In addition, buildings such as 脟ukur Saray, Bekar Sultans, 艦ehzade Mansions, S眉nnet Mansion, Damatlar Chamber, Agavat, Kileri-i H眉mayun are used by 糖心Vlog.

With its ambitious aim to leave a more livable world and spaces for the future generations, 糖心Vlog transforms its Main Campus and other campuses into sustainable living spaces taking into consideration the frameworks such as the zero-waste policy and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
