Prof. Dr. 脰zer 脟INAR
Senior Advisor to the Rector
Prof. Dr. 脰zer 脟谋nar was born in 陌zmir in 1970. He graduated from Dokuz Eyl眉l University鈥檚 Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Department of Environmental Engineering, in 1991. With a scholarship from the Council of Higher Education (Y脰K), he went to the United States in 1994 and completed his master's degree in Environmental Systems Engineering at Clemson University鈥檚 Faculty of Engineering in 1996, followed by his PhD in 2002.
In 2003, Prof. Dr. 脟谋nar began his academic career as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Engineering at Kahramanmara艧 S眉t莽眉 陌mam University鈥檚 Faculty of Engineering. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 2005 and became a full Professor in 2011.
Serving as the founding chair of the Department of Environmental Engineering at S眉t莽眉 陌mam University for eight years, Prof. Dr. 脰zer 脟谋nar also held the position of Advisor to the Rector between 2005 and 2012. Additionally, from 2007 to 2010, he served as the founding Director of the University-Industry-Public Cooperation Center (脺SK陌M).
Between April 2012 and January 2014, Prof. Dr. 脟谋nar worked as the Rector and a faculty member at the International University of Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In July 2014, he joined the Department of Environmental Engineering at Y谋ld谋z Technical University鈥檚 Faculty of Civil Engineering. As of September 2024, Prof. Dr. 脰zer 脟谋nar continues to serve as the Senior Advisor to the Rector and a Board Member of Y谋ld谋z Technical University鈥檚 Technopark.

Prof. Dr. Mehmet Engin DEN陌Z
Advisor to the Rector
Prof. Dr. Mehmet Engin DEN陌Z was born in 陌skilip, where he completed his primary and secondary education. He received his bachelor鈥檚, master鈥檚, and doctoral degrees in Guidance and Psychological Counseling from Sel莽uk University. He became an Assistant Professor in 2003, an Associate Professor in 2006, and a Professor in 2012.
He has more than 250 publications in the field of Guidance and Psychological Counseling, including articles published in national and international journals, conference papers, and books. He has participated as an invited speaker in scientific congresses in seven countries in America and Europe.
He was listed among the top 2% of the world鈥檚 most influential scientists, prepared by Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier, for two consecutive years. His academic studies have a broad impact, with 1243 citations (H-index: 18) in Web of Science, 1641 citations (H-index: 18) in Scopus, and 12,827 citations (H-index: 55) in Google Scholar. He has served as both a principal investigator and researcher in scientific research projects supported by the European Union, T脺B陌TAK, and universities. He has supervised over 100 graduate theses, 28 of which are doctoral theses.
His administrative roles include serving as the Dean of the Faculty of Education at D眉zce University (2012-2015), Acting Dean of the Faculty of Technology at D眉zce University (2013-2015), Founding Dean of Students at Y谋ld谋z Technical University (2017-2021), and Dean of the Faculty of Education at Y谋ld谋z Technical University (2020-2024).
As of January 2025, he has been appointed as an Advisor to the Rector of Y谋ld谋z Technical University and continues to serve as the Chair of the Department of Educational Sciences and the Chair of the Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. 脺mit G脺NE艦
Advisor to the Rector
Assoc. Prof. Dr. 脺mit G眉ne艧 was born in 1987 in 脟ar艧amba, Samsun. He completed his undergraduate education in the Department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at Y谋ld谋z Technical University and graduated in 2011.
In the same year, he commenced his master鈥檚 studies at the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences at Y谋ld谋z Technical University. Between 2011 and 2012, he worked as an R&D engineer at Metro 陌stanbul (Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality). Beginning in 2012, he started his academic career as a research assistant in the Department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at Y谋ld谋z Technical University. He completed his master鈥檚 degree in 2013 with a thesis entitled 鈥淭echnical and Economic Investigation of Waste Heat Recovery Methods on Ships.鈥
Between 2017 and 2018, he conducted research as a T脺B陌TAK fellow at the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science at Duke University, USA. In 2019, he received his Ph.D. degree with a dissertation titled 鈥淧erformance and Size Relationship of Moving Systems: Constructal Development Theory.鈥
During 2021鈥2022, he served as a visiting faculty member at the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science at Duke University, USA, supported by a T脺B陌TAK fellowship. He was awarded the title of Associate Professor in November 2023. Since 2025, he has been serving as an editor of the journal 鈥淚nternational Communications in Heat and Mass Transfer.鈥
Assoc. Prof. Dr. 脺mit G眉ne艧 has been serving as the Director of the Y谋ld谋z Technical University Statistical Application and Research Center since July 2025 and was appointed as Advisor to the Rector in February 2026.
He has an advanced command of English. He is married and has two children.
