Yıldız Technical University (YTÜ) is hosting an international summer school program launched as part of its collaboration with the Nizami Gencevi National Pedagogical University in Uzbekistan. Organized with the support of the Turkish World Education and Development Center (TDTİM), the program aims to strengthen international cooperation in the field of education by bringing together academics from Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan under one roof.

The international Summer School program, organized as part of the academic collaboration between Yıldız Technical University and the Nizami Gencevi National Pedagogical University of Uzbekistan, has begun. Organized with the support of the Turkish World Education and Development Center (TDTİM), the program brings together academics and educators from different countries on a common academic platform. As part of the program, participants have the opportunity not only to share scientific knowledge but also to evaluate best practices in the field of education. 

Prof. Dr. Eyüp Debik: Joint efforts will advance academic solidarity in the Turkic world 

Our Rector at Yıldız Technical University, Prof. Dr. Eyüp Debik, met with Prof. Dr. Uktamjon Mansurov, Dean of the History Department at Nizami Gencevi National Pedagogical University in Uzbekistan; Dr. Gülnura Babashova, Founder of the Turkic World Education and Development Center (TDTİM), and TDTİM Board Member Səbinə Rəhimova, as well as with academics from Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. 

During the meeting, attention was drawn to the importance of academic collaborations developed among higher education institutions in the Turkic world, and the sustainability of such international programs was emphasized. Debik expressed his satisfaction with the interest shown in the Summer School Program and expressed his hope that similar international academic initiatives would continue in the future. Noting that the collaborations carried out within the framework of the program have made significant contributions in terms of education, research, and cultural exchange, Debik stated that strengthening joint efforts between universities will further advance academic solidarity within the Turkic world.

Summer School Strengthens Academic Collaboration at YTÜ

On the first day of the program, Prof. Dr. Özkan Sapsağlam, Dean of the Faculty of Education at Yıldız Technical University, also met with the Summer School participants. Prof. Dr. Sapsağlam provided the participants with information about the university’s educational activities, academic structure, and campus facilities. Mansurov Uktamjon Nosirboyevich, Dean of the Department of History at Nizami Gencevi National Pedagogical University in Uzbekistan, also participated in the program. During the meetings, discussions were held regarding the development of academic cooperation between the two universities. As part of the program, potential joint projects in the fields of education, research, and international mobility were discussed.

Academics from three countries come together for joint events

As part of the Summer School, in addition to the delegation from Uzbekistan, academics from Azerbaijan are also participating in the educational programs held at Yıldız Technical University. Scholars from Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan are coming together at conferences, seminars, and academic sessions to share knowledge and experience. Throughout the program, current approaches in education, joint research topics, and opportunities for international collaboration are being discussed. The Summer School, which supports multilateral academic interaction, aims to contribute to the development of scientific and academic collaborations among higher education institutions in the Turkic world.
