Yıldız Teknik ÜԾٱsi’nin son üç yıldır geleneksel olarak düzenlediği ve YTÜ’ye yeni katılan öğrencilere YTÜ’nün yapısının, sosyal ve kültürel ortamını tanıtıldığı Oryantasyon Günleri bu sene “Okula Dönüş” temasıyla 2-6 Ekim tarihlerinde büyük bir coşkuyla gerçekleşti.
Beş gün boyunca Davutpaşa ve Yıldız üini adeta bir şenlik alanına çeviren renkli programı ile YTÜ Oryantasyon Günleri’nde Yeni YTÜ’lü öğrenciler YTÜ’nün hem eğitim-öğretim süreçlerini hem de YTÜ’deki sosyal hayatı tanıma fırsatı buldular.
2 Ekim Pazartesi günü Davutpaşa Kampüsümüzde başlayan Oryantasyon Günleri’23 etkinliği öümüz Prof. Dr. Tamer YILMAZ’ın interaktif olarak gerçekleştirdiği “Spor” temalı açılış konuşmasıyla başladı. Yıldız Teknik ÜԾٱsi’nin Yeni Yıldızları 2027 mezunu olacak sevgili öğrencilerim, ÜԾٱnize Hoşgeldiniz” diyerek selamlayan öümüz Tamer Yılmaz; ÜԾٱli olmaktan öte, YTÜ’lü olmayı anlattı. “ÜԾٱ hayatı hem fiziksel hem de zihinsel dayanıklılığı gerektirir. Aynı zamanda takım çalışması, disiplin, kararlılık ve hedeflere ulaşma isteği gibi sporla benzeşen değerleri de içerir. Sporun en güzel özelliklerini -disiplini, azmi ve kazanma isteğini- üniversite deneyiminize yansıtacağınıza inanıyorum. Unutmayın ki burada YTÜ Ailesi olarak bir aradayız ve destek bulmak için her zaman birbirimize güvenebiliriz…
Başarılarınızın ve zaferlerinizin kutlandığı olimpiyat ateşi gibi yandığı bir üniversite yaşamı diliyorum. Hepinize başarılar, mutluluk ve unutulmaz anılarla dolu bir yolculuk diliyorum.” diyerek konuşmasını sonlandırırken, ÜԾٱ yönetim kadrosunu -takım arkadaşlarını- sahneye davet ederek YTÜ ailesi olarak yeni Yıldızları selamladılar.
öümüz Prof. Dr. Tamer YILMAZ etkinliğin açılış gününde proje takımlarının ve kulüplerin stantlarını gezerek öğrencilerle sohbet etti. Ürettikleri araçlarla yerli ve uluslararası birçok yarışmadan ödüllerle dönmüş öğrencilerimize tebriklerini ve başarı dileklerini iletti.
ÜԾٱyi Tanıma Dersleri kapsamında; “Yıldızlı Olmak”, “ÜԾٱ Yaşamı Nedir”, “Etkili Öğrenme ve Motivasyon”, “Sürdürülebilir Kampüs Yaşamı” başlıklı konuları içeren dersler ise sırasıyla Prof. Dr. Çiğdem POLATOĞLU, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Engin DENİZ ve Prof. Dr. Bestami ÖZKAYA tarafından anlatılarak yeni girişli YTÜ’lülerin temel bilgilere erişmesi hedeflendi.
Fakülte ve bölümler özelinde düzenlenen oryantasyon programlarında da; ÜԾٱ yaşamına kolayca uyum sağlamalarını amaçlayan programların yanı sıra, öğrencilerimizin temas halinde olacakları tüm idari ve akademik birimler gerekli bilgilendirmeleri yapılırken, öğrencilerin hem tam anlamıyla faydalanabilmeleri amacıyla kampüs imkan ve olanaklarının tanıtıldığı hem de üniversitede öğrencilerin kampüs içindeki hayatlarını kolaylaştıracak bilgiler ve dikkat etmeleri gereken detaylar paylaşıldı.
Yıldız Teknik ÜԾٱsi kültürünün çok önemli bir parçası olan kulüplerle tanışma fırsatını da yakalayan yeni girişli YTÜ’lüler, Oryantasyon Günlerinde sosyal hayatlarına büyük katkı sağlayacak proje toplulukları, kültür-sanat ve spor kulüplerini yakından tanıma fırsatı buldular.
Bilim, sanat, spor, sinema, müzik, edebiyat, enerji sistemleri, mühendislik, tasarım gibi farklı kategorilerde faaliyetlerini sürdüren Dağcılıktan Fiziğe, Okçuluktan Gelişim ve İnovasyon Kulübü gibi kültür, sanat ve düşünce kulüpleri yeni başlayan YTÜ’lülere faaliyetlerini hakkında bilgi vererek yeni üyeleriyle buluştular. Spor kulüpleri ise YTÜ’lüleri profesyonel lisanslı olarak spor yapmaya teşvik etmek için alandaydı. YTÜ’lülerin sosyal bir öğrenim döneminin yanında kariyer planlarına da büyük katkı sağlayan proje takımları ve öğrenci kulüpleri festival boyunca faaliyetlerini anlattılar.
Etkinliğin son gününde YTÜ’lüler müzik dünyasının sevilen gruplarından “Yüksek Sadakat”in şarkılarıyla coştular.

After Vlog Orientation Days
The Orientation Days, which have traditionally been organised by Yıldız Technical University for the last three years to introduce the structure, social and cultural environment of Vlog to new students, were held with great enthusiasm on 2-6 October this year with the theme of "Back to School".
New Vlog students had the opportunity to get to know both the education processes and the social life at Vlog in Vlog Orientation Days with its colourful programme that turned Davutpaşa and Yıldız Campuses into a festival area for five days.
The Orientation Days'23 event, which started on Monday 2 October at Davutpaşa Campus, started with the interactive opening speech of our Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer YILMAZ with the theme of "Sports". Our Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer Yılmaz welcomed the new students: "the New Stars of Yıldız Technical University, my dear students who will be graduating in 2027, welcome to your university", and spoke about being a Vlog student beyond being a university student. "University life requires both physical and mental endurance. It also includes values that are similar to sports such as teamwork, discipline, determination and the desire to achieve goals. I believe that you will reflect the best features of sports - discipline, determination and the will to win - to your university experience. Remember that we are here together as the Vlog Family and we can always rely on each other for support...
I wish you all a university life where your successes and victories are celebrated and burn like the Olympic flame. I wish you all a journey full of success, happiness and unforgettable memories." and invited the administrative staff of our University -his teammates - to the stage and greeted the new Stars as the Vlog family.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer YILMAZ visited the stands of the project teams and student clubs on the opening day of the event and chatted with the students. He conveyed his congratulations and wishes of success to our students who returned with awards from many local and international competitions with the vehicles they produced.
Within the scope of the Getting to Know the University Lectures, the lectures on "Being a Star", "What is University Life", "Effective Learning and Motivation", "Sustainable Campus Life" were given by Prof. Dr. Çiğdem POLATOĞLU, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Engin DENİZ and Prof. Dr. Bestami ÖZKAYA respectively.
In the orientation programmes organised specifically for faculties and departments; In addition to the programmes aiming to ensure that students can easily adapt to university life, all administrative and academic units that our students will be in contact with were provided necessary information, the campus facilities and opportunities were introduced in order for students to make full use of them, as well as information that will facilitate students' lives on campus and the details they should pay attention to were shared.
During the Orientation Days, newly admitted Vlog students who had the opportunity to meet the student clubs, which are a very important part of Yıldız Technical University culture, had the opportunity to get to know the project communities, culture-arts and sports clubs that will contribute greatly to their social lives.
Culture, art and thought clubs such as Mountaineering, Physics, Archery, Development and Innovation Club, which continue their activities in different categories such as science, art, sports, cinema, music, literature, energy systems, engineering and design, informed the new Vlog students about their activities and met their new members. Sports clubs were also on the field to encourage Vlog students to practice sports with a professional licence. Project teams and student clubs, which greatly contribute to the career plans of Vlog students in addition to facilitating a social university life, explained their activities throughout the festival.
On the last day of the event, Vlog students enjoyed the songs of "Yüksek Sadakat", one of the favourite bands of the music world.
